IndyParentSource was created by a native Hoosier mom, Melanie Albright. She was trying to find local things to do that were both fun and family friendly. Since Melanie and her husband both work full time, “free time” was too short to comb various internet sites or read through various community mailers. Melanie was the first of her friends to have a baby and did not have great information on things to do or see around town that were family friendly. She also wanted to find a way to connect local businesses and families in one spot. So, after discovering SBparent.com, an excellent local resource in Santa Barbara, she knew it was something Indianapolis families needed. With the help of a very creative and locally connected friend, Leslie Cannon, IndyParentSource was born.
Our goal is to make life easier for parents by giving them one website to do their research from home. We are committed to providing a free, efficient, on-line tool that gives choices to parents, grandparents and childcare providers. This site highlights area events & activities appropriate for infants through teens as well as a forum for parents to exchange information and post related classifieds. We also support local family-focused businesses with affordable advertising which increases visibility. We allow businesses the opportunity to give back to their community by supporting a free resource for families.
