On Writing Good Wedding Speeches
October 28th, 2011 by admin
There are three main tips to writing a good wedding speech. The first one is, know your audience. If you are in the Bahamas and you’ve been drinking since 10 then by all means tell the one where the groom ended up getting pulled over in his birthday suite. If you just exited some sort of church – you, and Aunt Mildred, might want to keep that little nugget to yourself. The second tip to writing a good wedding speech is, keep it short. Besides, unless you are all drunk in the Bahamas – it’s going to be a PG speech – and those are boring. And the third tip is (and I do say this from experience) don’t ever include the phrase “so that helps.” in your speech. As in – so after I met the bride, I realized she like football…. so that helps. Follow those three easy tips and you should not be banned from any future weddings.
