    What Are Ratchet Straps?

    January 28th, 2012 by admin

Ratchet straps are the fastening agents used in order to secure and hold down equipment or cargo that is in the process of being transported, generally with a vehicle of some sort. Ratchet straps can also be referred to as tie down straps, lashing straps or simply tie downs. Standard ratchet straps can be found in polyester webbing that ranges from 1”, 2”, 3” and 4” widths. These ratchet straps can hold from 1,500 pound to 20,000 pound ratings. Depending on the specific needs of the transportation situation more detailed ratchet straps can be created to accommodate those specific requirements.
