What Are Some Of The Most Common Dog Allergy Symptoms?

    January 27th, 2012 by admin

Studies have shown that over 40 percent of people in America have at least one dog. That is why dog allergies are extremely common. Dog allergy symptoms are very similar to those of other allergy symptoms. They may include things such as: sneezing, coughing, watery eyes and wheezing. These symptoms may be more pronounced in someone who has a lung condition such as Asthma. One of the things that doctors recommend people do is try to stay away from dogs. However, this is not always a viable solution so a person should make sure that the home stays cleaned at all times. Cleaning can help remove the dog dander, which is what triggers the allergies. Antihistamines can also help control some of the symptoms of dog allergies. There has been no conclusive evidence as to whether washing the dog frequently can help reduce allergies. Some studies say that it helps while others say bathing is of no help.
